Preparing for Pesach

The main mitzvos of Pesach are to get rid of the Chometz and to eat Matza. The seforim write that a person has to also get rid of the Chometz within, which is Anger. And strengthen Emuna, which is represented by Matza.
In order to give us the ability to dig deep within and get rid of hidden Anger, Hashem gave us the pre Pesach preparation that cause stress, thereby enabling us to overcome stress and anger in a tense situation. Similarly, the extra expenses for Pesach help us strengthen our Emuna in a more trying situation, and bring us closer to Hashem.
