Relationship

In Pirkei R’ Eliezer it says that if a person relies on natural means for his livelihood it’s similar to adultery.
The reason is that a Yid is supposed to turn to his Father in Heaven for his livelihood and that will strengthen his relationship with Hashem. The connection with Hashem is of a much greater value than the livelihood. On the other hand, if a person relies on natural means, Hashem lets him get his livelihood from natural means, and he’ll end up with only a material benefit without a relationship, which is similar to adultery.
