Full time employement

March 29, 2011

We’re employed 24/7 in the service of Hashem. Whether we go to work or not, sleep or up, eat drink or anything else, we’re serving the Creator of the heaven and the earth; may His Name be Blessed.

Utilize the day

Shabbos is a special day of rest. There is no employment, there is no bills, there is no worries. On Shabbos we are envolped in Emuna and embraced by the presence of Hashem. Enjoy it to the fullest.

Feeling bad about a job loss or worrying because of job stability is similar to the slave who does not want to go out in the end of six years. The slave is worried about his future income, but the Torah condemns him because he should trust in Hashem. Similarly, a person’s income is predestined from Hashem, a job loss only means that there is no need to go to work. If a person worries, it shows that he trusted the job all along and did not trust in Hashem.

Above nature

March 15, 2011

A while ago we were having car problems. My daughter asked me if I’m not ‘fed-up’ with the car yet. I told that it has nothing to do with the car; everything that happens comes from Hashem. I said: “Even if we get a new vehicle Hashem could cause it to malfunction. Although, since Hashem’s Will is to run the world through natural means, probably a different mishap will occur.”

Lo and behold, I was driving today our new Toyota Sienna with 480 miles and it died on the highway. Thank you Hashem for running our lives without the rules of nature, only with Your direct kind and compassionate rule. The Toyota dealer claimed that it was the alternator but we know better.

The rotten apple

March 11, 2011

An unkosher dollar is like a rotten apple; it spoils the whole case. If a person wants to protect his money he should clean out any unkosher income.

Thank You Hashem

March 2, 2011

Thank you Hashem for bringing to an end my tenure in Viecore. It was a great experience but it is time to move on with life. Emuna Tidbit will be out on vacation.

Biggest miracle

ועל ניסך שבכל יום עמנו

Rav Shulzinger said that the biggest miracle is that we merit to learn Torah every day.
