The Chovos HaLevovos writes that there are three reasons why Hashem bestows wealth upon a person. Two of the reasons are for the person’s disadvantage and one reason is for the person’s benefit. Furthermore, reviewing the beneficial criteria is apparent that very few people qualify. Therefore, do not feel bad if you’re not wealthy. It just means that Hashem in His great Mercy did not want to punish you.
